This year marks the 20th anniversary of the 2005 vintage, considered by many to be the best Pinot Noir vintage of Jim Clendenen’s career.

The 2005 growing season was ideal. Warm spring weather, minimal wind, and a long, even ripening period with cool coastal influence provided perfect conditions. There were no extreme heat spikes during harvest, allowing the grapes to ripen fully and evenly.

While other vintages have been excellent, the 2005 wines showed a unique brightness and freshness in the cellar. This character has endured throughout their aging process, resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, well-integrated fruit, and a subtle touch of French oak.
